§ 35. Appearance bonds.

The mayor and council shall provide by ordinance for the giving of appearance bonds, which may be either a surety bond, or a cash bond, for persons accused or charged with the violation of the ordinances of said city, and by ordinance the mayor and council shall fix the manner in which said bonds shall be forfeited, execution issued thereon, and other procedure appertaining thereto.
