§ 11-20. Transfer of licenses.

Latest version.
  • (a)

All licenses shall be personal to the licensee to whom issued, but in cases where the ownership is changed and both the name and location of the licensed business or occupation are maintained, the city administrator may allow the license to be transferred. All indebtedness shall be fully paid by the transferor and a new bond given by the transferee, when a bond is required by ordinance.

    (b)

Petitions to the city administrator for transfers of licenses shall be accompanied by a twenty-five dollar ($25.00) transfer fee on licenses. Such transfer fee shall be refunded in the event the transfer of license is not allowed. No transfer fee shall be required when the person, entity or enterprise to which the original license was issued requests a transfer of the same license to another location. Only one (1) transfer fee shall be collected for all of the business licenses that are transferred in connection with one (1) person, entity or enterprise.
